1557 Series Audio Enclosures

Hammond Manufacturing 1557 Series Type 4/4X and 6/6P Audio Enclosures feature rounded corners and edges to provide a more modern look while still offering superior watertight ratings. These enclosures can be used in a tabletop configuration or two different wall-mount configurations. The 1557 audio enclosures are ideally suited for mounting printed circuit boards or DIN rail-mounted components. Hammond Manufacturing 1557 Type 4/4X and 6/6P Audio Enclosures are available in black or gray UL-listed polycarbonate or ABS plastic. The polycarbonate versions are UV-stabilized for indoor or outdoor use and carry a UL 94-5VA flammability rating. The ABS versions are molded from a general-purpose material with a UL 94-HB flammability rating for indoor use. A gasket lid with a two-piece, tongue-and-groove construction protects against oil, dust, and water. The lineup includes a kit that allows select Hammond enclosures to be mounted securely to a pole.

Enclosure Modification Solutions

Hammond Manufacturing offers a wide selection of enclosures that are available for various customized modifications. Numerous modifications are offered by Hammond Manufacturing, including cutouts, silk screening, special length extrusions, UV printing, and pressed-in hardware such as studs or standoffs.

IP68-Rated Plastic Enclosures

Hammond Manufacturing IP68-Rated Plastic Enclosures are tough, watertight enclosures specifically designed for outdoor and industrial environments. These enclosures are molded in UV-stabilized polycarbonate plastic and available in a wide range of sizes. The design options of enclosures include integrated flanges, accessory mounting feet, clear or smoky grey lids, rounded edges, and more. These enclosures have been independently tested to meet the IP68 rating and are UL listed under the UL508A standard.
