MULTIGIG RT 2 Backplane Interconnects

Tyco Electronics´s MULTIGIG RT 2 Backplane Interconnects meet VITA 41 specifications (next generation VME Bus called VSX). The MULTIGIG RT 2 Connectors feature 113 signals/inch, data rates of 3.125 Gb/S to 6.4+ Gb/s and has been demonstrated to support 10 Gb/s. The printed circuit based, pinless, interconnect family is comprised of modular components that provide levels of flexibility and customization in a variety of combinations. The Tyco Electronics MULTIGIG RT 2 Backplane Interconnects provide the density, data throughput, and signal integrity required for any application in today's computer, communications, military, medical, or industrial control industries.

MULTIGIG RT 3 & MULTIGIG RT 2-S Connectors

TE Connectivity's (TE) MULTIGIG RT 3 and MULTIGIG RT 2-S Connectors are next-generation lightweight, rugged, high-speed, backplane connectors that meet the interface dimensions for VITA 46 VPX connectors. The connectors are backward compatible with legacy MULTIGIG RT products and offer the same reliable interface. The MULTIGIG RT 3 connectors support speeds up to +25Gb/s and offer a ruggedised design which makes these connectors ideally suited to withstand many extreme military and space environments. The quad-redundant contacts meet rigorous VITA standards for reliable performance under intense vibrations. A modular design enables numerous configurations by interchanging the higher-speed MULTIGIG RT 3 connectors with the legacy MULTIGIG RT 2 and MULTIGIG RT 2-R connectors. MULTIGIG RT 3 and MULTIGIG RT 2-S applications include aviation, military & defence, and space.
